Southern Heritage Bank Opens Polk County Office

Cleveland, Tenn. — Southern Heritage Bank of Cleveland, Tenn., announces the opening of a Loan Production Office in Polk County. The new office, located at 5637 Highway 411, Suite A in Benton, is the site of the former T. B. Isbill Insurance Company office (next door to Ken’s Casuals). The Loan Production Office will open on February 11, 2008.
Office hours at the Loan Production Office are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The telephone phone number is 338-4967.
J. Lee Stewart, President and CEO of Southern Heritage Bank said, “I am extremely pleased that Southern Heritage is expanding our service in Polk County. We already have many customers in Polk County and look forward to forming new relationships there. Through our new Loan Production Office, we will offer secondary market mortgage loans, THDA and FHA loans as well as home equity and any other type of consumer loans. Business loan services will also be available. This loan production office is the first step of our strategic plan to become a full-service bank in Polk County.”
Polk County operations will be overseen by J. Taylor (“Sonny”) Howard, Senior Vice President, Lending. Howard has many years of banking experience in both the Polk and Bradley County communities, and has been with Southern Heritage Bank since its inception in 1999.
Greg Redman and Heather Bishop Elrod will staff the loan production office. Redman, formerly with the Benton Banking Mortgage Company’s Cleveland office, has experience in all types of lending.
Elrod, a Small Business Banking Specialist, has been with Southern Heritage Bank for eighteen. Recently, she has worked out of the main office assisting small- to mid-sized businesses with cash management, remote deposit and merchant services.
Southern Heritage Bank will upgrade its ATM currently located at 112 Whitewater Drive in Ocoee to accept deposits. Plans also include opening a full-service banking office on the bank-owned property near the Super Saver Grocery in Ocoee.
Southern Heritage Bank, headquartered in Cleveland, Tenn., was formed in 1999 and operates three full-service banking offices in Bradley County. The Polk County Loan Production Office is the bank’s first office outside Bradley County.
