At the February meeting of the Board of Directors, Len Graham announced his plans to retire as Chairman of the Board effective March 31, 2015. “It has been a privilege and joy to have served our fellow Bradley Countians as one of the thirteen founding directors of Southern Heritage Bank as well as with the succeeding new directors. Effective Monday, March 2, 2015, we will be changing our drive-thru hours of operation. New SHB drive-thru hours will be Monday through Thursday, 8:00 - 5:30, and Friday 8:00 - 6:00. Our lobby hours and Saturday hours will remain the same.
CLEVELAND, TENN – Southern Heritage Bank announced the addition of Bryson M. Kirksey to Southern Heritage Bank’s Board of Directors. Kirksey, who grew up in Cleveland, has been practicing law in and around the Cleveland – Bradley County Community for the past five years with Burns, Henry and Kirksey, PC in Cleveland. After earning his accounting degree from Carson-Newman College (Jefferson City) in 2005, he earned his law degree from Cumberland School of Law at Samford Univeristy (Birmingham, Ala.) in 2008 followed by his masters of law in taxation in 2009 from Georgetown University (Washington, D.C.). Kirksey also holds a CPA license as well as being an Accredited Estate Planner. Lee Stewart, President and CEO of Southern Heritage Bank said, “Bryce is an exceptional tax attorney and estate planner as well as a CPA having trained under the late Charlie Burns. With Bryce’s knowledge of business and law combined with his deep Cleveland roots, he will make an outstanding SHB board member.”

CLEVELAND, Tenn. Southern Heritage Bancshares, Inc., parent company of Southern Heritage Bank held its annual shareholders meeting on September 25th at the bank’s main office on Keith Street. The meeting was held to approve the Agreement and Plan of Merger which was announced in March whereby Southern Heritage will partner with First Citizens National Bank of Dyersburg, Tennessee through a cash and stock merger.
